Frequently Asked Questions
How much do your coaching services cost?
Costs vary, because we customize each coaching program to your specific needs. An average hourly cost is roughly $150-170, with most packages ranging from three to six sessions ($500 - $1,000). The self-directed 30-day email challenge is $400.
How much time will it take to prepare to give my best talk?
The more time you have, the better. Average TEDx Speakers take approximately two to three months (individual coaching sessions plus lots of practice/writing time on their own). However, if you have a presentation coming up quickly, we can likely get a session or two scheduled with you, especially if your content is set and you mainly need presentation pointers and confidence building.
How will I know I’ve given my best talk?
Everybody defines success differently. Delivering a talk with confidence, not forgetting any content, managing nerves, receiving a standing ovation, making a sale, booking another talk, receiving a lot of video views - we will discuss what success will look like for YOU and customize coaching accordingly.
Is there homework between sessions or will I learn everything in the coaching sessions?
There is definitely homework. The more you practice, the more confident you will be in delivering your talk. We can give you guidance, tools, and feedback, but you will have to put in work between coaching sessions.
What if I bomb?
If you deliver your talk and it does not meet your expectations and your definition of success that we discussed in your initial conversation, we will refund your money.
I am completely new to public speaking. Can you work with someone with very little experience?
We have worked with people of all comfort and ability levels of public speaking.
I am a seasoned public speaker. Why would I want to work with you?
You may want to add different material to a talk you have already prepared. You may want to overcome a bad habit (or be told that you have some bad habits). You may be giving a talk where you feel the stakes are higher than other times you have presented. Let’s talk in a free consultation - We will be 100% transparent about if we can help you or not.
30-Day Fearless Public Speaking Email Challenge FAQ
Will I get as much out of the 30-day challenge as I would with 1:1 coaching?
It depends how motivated and disciplined you are! If you are diligent about keeping up with the daily emails (daily on weekdays for six weeks, you have weekends off or to catch up), and do all of the exercises, you’ll get a lot out of it.
What if I get stuck or confused by the content of the email or the exercises?
You can reach us by reply email and we will get back to you within 24 hours. Not to worry!
How can I get the most out of the 30-day e-mail challenge?
It will be most useful to you if you work on an actual presentation you plan to give six to seven weeks after your first email. The skills build on each other until the last week, when you will deliver your talk to various people.
What are the daily exercises like? Will I have time to do them?
Some days there are journal prompts. Some there are videos to watch. Other times you’re working on an element of your talk. If you plan to memorize your talk, you will spend a fair bit of time on your own working on that (after reading pointers). Homework varies from 0 minutes to perhaps 30 minutes, depending on your learning style and time availability. You will get the most from the course by doing all exercises fully. That said, if you have days where you can’t get to them, you’ll have a chance to catch up on weekends
